Susan Taylor Martin

Susan Taylor Martin was appointed President of the Thomson Reuters Legal business in December 2013.

Susan joined Reuters in 1993 in Business Development and has held a number of different management roles in the company.

Prior to her current appointment, Susan was Managing Director of the Thomson Reuters Legal business in the UK and Ireland. Previously, she was President Reuters Media, and before that she was Managing Director, UKI Sales & Service, first for Reuters in 2007, and then for Thomson Reuters following the acquisition of Reuters by Thomson in 2008. Prior to that, she was Global Head of Corporate Strategy for Reuters.

Outside of Thomson Reuters Susan is a Non-Executive Director of Whitbread, the UK’s leading hospitality company. She is also a Trustee of the Thomson Reuters Foundation which stands for free independent journalism, human rights, women’s empowerment, and the rule of law.

Before joining Reuters, Susan worked in Corporate Finance, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. She has an MA (Cantab) in Chinese and History of Art from St John’s College Cambridge and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
